After unboxing the humidor I was very impressed. There was a slight smell of plastic on the inside so I removed the shelves and cleaned it with baking soda and distilled water. Wiped the shelves down to clean any dust and add moisture. Placed my new toy on top of a Glasgow metal stand 20"x20" from Target and plugged it in. Following the instruction manual, brought the humidity to 74% placed 2 bags of 70% humidity beads on the bottom and added my cigars. The unit hold 69% humidity and I keep the temp at 68°. Zero problems. I don't care about the blue interior light, others have complained. DIY led kits work better for matching lighting in a bar/cabinet system anyway. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight for best results.
I really like it but I do think if the inside wall and floor were lined with ceder it would be much better
Over the yrs I have messed around with the old style humidor, it was a pain, now I got the 300 cc h and I love it, keeps the temp with in one degree of my setting, holds humidor great, I use the cigar oasis plus 3.0 I will buy another in time.
Great humidor works well
did I wait so long to buy one of these. I've been managing temp and humidity issues for 25 years... importantly though, I added a third party electric humidifier that I have placed on the top shelf. The result of the combined units is amazing so far and I feel I have entered a whole new world of not thinking about temp and humidity. Plus the unit is attractive enough and seemingly well made.
